About Me
Hello! My name is Isabelle, the maker behind the artwork!
I have lived here in Calgary Alberta all my life. For as long as I can remember I have always been a very hands on crafty person, hopping from one hobby to the next. I have dabbled in jewelry making, card crafts, sculptures, and have more art supplies than I know what to do with. I picked up stained glass a few years ago when my Oma offered to teach me. She pursued the art form for years, designing and making pieces, teaching classes, even creating cabinets for entire kitchens. She offered me all her supplies to keep and continue the hobby.
With my new tools and glass, I started to work on my skills. It was hard at first, learning a new medium but I always loved every thing I made. I realized very quickly I had a theme to all my projects. I really enjoyed designing pieces inspired by nature. I started to make pieces for friends and family who got the word out for commissions. This was when I decided to try and purse my dream of having a handmade business.
I applied to local markets, made a website and started an instagram to promote my art. It has been a fun journey so far and I hope to one day pursue stained glass full time.
